The inaugural MEMSA golf day took place at Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg and served as an invaluable networking event for MEMSA members and industry partners. The event was successfully attended by a total of 75 players competing for the sought after Ossie Carstens floating trophy.

The event was a success with assistance from valued sponsors, including our main sponsor Standard bank and others but not least including Sanlam, Bell Equipment, Spress, Kama Coils, Ayano Operations, Horona Trading, Phillips Global, Trysome Auto Electrical Engineering, Paramount Tracks, Igalofu, Reunko Steel, Leano & Co Gin  and USJ Engineering. 

The day commenced with registrations; participants prepared themselves for the tremendous day of golf ahead. Following a quick shotgun start, teams hit the course. The day was concluded with a Prize Giving Dinner. 

Keynote speakers representing the mining manufacturing supply chain industry at the Prize Giving Dinner were Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic) Deputy Director Minerals Beneficiation & Mining Equipment Tshepiso Kadiaka, Exxaro Manager Supply Chain Sustainability Sandile Khumalo and Moonshots Business Banking Head: Trade Sales Standard Bank Eran Singh.

Top prizes were awarded to:

                             Winner: Ayana Operations (112 points)

                             Runners up: Spress (107 points)

                             3rd Prize: Vuyo Funerals (101 points)

Additional prizes for the day included: Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, as well as the Longest Day on the golf course 😉. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and those who joined us on the day.
