MEMSA is to host a workshop on unpacking the mining charter 3 and Production Technologies Association of South Africa, or PtSA.
Mining Charter 3 was gazetted almost a year ago, so that now nearly on one year into the 5 year ramp-up period. Making the most of the opportunities for business and national development created by the charter, requires that it be understood, and its unfolding implementation by role players, thoroughly.
This workshop led by Fundiswa Ndaba, Senior Policy Analyst: Public Affairs and Transformation at the Minerals Council, will unpack the Charter with a detailed focus on the procurement sections, and how these fit into the whole.
We’ll take a clear look at local content as defined by the charter, and how achievement against procurement targets contributes to mines’ scorecards.
In the latter part of the afternoon, John McEwan (CEO) will introduce the Production Technologies Association of South Africa, or PtSA.
There will be time for Q&A and discussion.
