Workshop
On 01 November 2018 MEMSA had a workshop on SAMERDI Research & Opportunities at the Mandela Mining Precinct. The workshop had been arranged with support from the programme managers from the Mandela Mining Precinct working with the research streams within SAMERDI.The Programme managers briefly presented on current and upcoming research focus, and technology development challenges; followed by Q&A.The 6 research streams focused on included LOCM (Longevity of Current Mines) , Mechanised Dril and Blast , NERB (Non Explosive Rock Breaking) , RTIMS (Real Time Information Systems) , AOK (Advanced Ore Body Knowledge) and SATCAP (Human factors – Successful Application of Technologies Centred Around People)
