MEMSA participated in a feasibility study commissioned by the Mandela Mining Precinct for the establishment of an underground Test facility at Royal Bafokeng Platinum, Maseve Mine aimed at providing an infrastructure where new technologies and equipment could be tested in a dedicated real-life environment.
The Test Mine will be available for use by mining industry OEMs, academia, and researchers for the demonstration of technology and equipment, research and development or technology development, training and education (vacation training) and will assist in alleviating the risks associated with trialling new technology and processes
